IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTE: The two oscilloscope channels share a common ground. The probe ground clips are electrically connected inside the unit. Never connect them to two different voltage potentials (e.g., hot + neutral, or separate DC rails) — this will cause a short circuit and may damage the device and the circuit under test.
